TV Ratings (Monday 9th May) + Sunday w. Cable

Chicago Code and pretty much everything else at Fox that isn't House, Bones, Glee, Fringe or a cartoon has been canceled by Fox...

I'd actually rather have Fringe Canceled and they keep Chicago Code, best new show of the year.

I have a feeling this will come back to bite them. Fox makes "meh" shows recently and I don't think they will break out of that with the few new shows they picked up. House and Bones are dead / dying, and they have nothing to fill. Lucky for them they only need to really have 4-5 drama shows on their network.

Not surprised by the culls there though with Breaking In gone that means FOX is likely to pick up at least 1 of its comedy pilots if not 2. Happy and surprised to see Alcatraz get picked up after hearing it was only 50/50 earlier though theres still no room for it really...Though if The Finder doesn't get its own show till midseason theres a gap for a shorter season run.

I disagree that Bones is dying "bigdaddy" with our without Idol "Bones" has had one of the most stable audiences I've ever seen from a show and from a ratings point clearly has at least 2 years left in it, if not longer though 2 will do for me ;)

Cable ratings are in...

Breakout Kings (A&E) - 1.33 million & 0.6/1

The Killing (AMC) - 1.83 million & 0.6/2

Game Of Thrones (HBO) - 2.45 million & 1.1/3

Treme (HBO) - 0.52 million & 0.2/0

The Borgias (SHO) - 0.86 million & 0.2/1

NBA Playoffs (TNT) - 6.26 million & 2.6/7

Law & Order: Criminal Intent (USA) - 3.68 million & 0.9/2

Unless it has some VERY VERY strong repeat viewings, expect HBO to cancel Treme very soon. Breakout Kings is 50/50 for a pickup but I would lean towards a pickup IMO and The Killing seems safe on AMC.

Treme (pronounced /trəˈmeɪ/ trə-MAY) is an American television drama series created by David Simon and Eric Overmyer. It takes its name from Tremé, a neighborhood in the city of New Orleans.[1] The series begins three months after Hurricane Katrina where the residents of New Orleans, including musicians, chefs, Mardi Gras Indians, and ordinary New Orleanians try to rebuild their lives, their homes and their unique culture in the aftermath of the 2005 hurricane.[1][2][3]
The series premiered on HBO April 11, 2010,[4][5] with an 80-minute pilot episode, the first of a 10 episode season.[2] On April 13, 2010, HBO renewed the show for a second season.[6] The second season premiered April 24, 2011.

The Finder will start in September to fill in for Bones.

Bones ratings are fine but it only has 1-2 more seasons left before it becomes to expensive and the cast starts to ditch.

It's been creatively dead for years, but obviously that doesn't matter.

Can't just be shows showing their ages, as every show except Castle and DTWS (and both are shown on same channel in one block, so lead-in helps) took a nosedive this spring. Except CW, they were pretty steady with the 5 girls that watch that show still tuning in...

I know startrekwatcher likes Gossip Girl and I do too. I wonder what are the chances the three other girls who watch it post here too?

Being a bit sarcastic, but yeah, CW shows have all sort of bottomed out at 1 mil (give or take), and thus were about the only ones not taking a loss this spring. No one really left TO lose. And teenage girls HAS been the demographic they've been actively going after, hasn't it?

Not all of them. The Vampire Diaries has drawn 2.7 to 3.5 million viewers this season. Smallville and Supernatural have mostly drawn 2 to 2.5 million viewers. Nikita started out at over 3 million viewers and is now drawing 1.7 to 2 million viewers. It's Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, 90210 and Hellcats that have dwindled to 1 to 1.4 million viewers.
