Sunday stuff after I've had my dinner and watched some TV :p

CBS seems to be playing a lot of repeats lately. I guess they're prepping for February Sweeps but after the holiday break, I'm surprised an entire night was all repeats and they just didn't have two new episodes of Hawaii 5-0 to build off the momentum. Perhaps that's normal this time of year but I'm a bit surprised by it.

What did Harry's Law get last week versus reruns? This week it went up against a new Castle. I'd like to see how it compared. When will it be up against a new Castle and Hawaii 5-0?

^
With a repeat ridden night am not surprised they ran a FIVE-O repeat because CBS are not convinced it can hold its own just yet and why take the risk with no support.

^^
The pilot scored 11.04 million viewers and a second-place 2.1 rating/6...down by 797,000 viewers but none in the 18-49 demo.

Castle is at typical levels without DWTS and will be boosted once its return plus ABC scheduling of it lately has been crap so a good run of episodes will boost it too. While I expect Harry's Law to end up around 9 million with a 1.7/1.8 rating by the end of its season, if it holds it could hurt FIVE-O more by taking some of its older viewers though its own demo is probably safe.

Monday 10pm is a slot where 3 shows can survivie IMO due to less demand for a high demo.

Just before I do some sunday numbers over at TVByTheNumbers, all the Fringe fans are panicking cause Lie To Me got a 40% boost this week so incase anyone else is having similar worries about Lie To Me taking up one of the few limited 2011/2012 slots in the FOX lineup...

If CBS ran originals then Lie To Me would of been around 5 million with a 2.0 demo. If Lie To Me aired friday nights it would get around 60% at best of the Fringe demo.

Lie To Me should become a sumemr show, its no danger to Fringe :p

SUNDAY (Original airings only)
CBS

AFC Championship: Jets vs. Steelers - 48.83 million & 17.5/41

Hawaii Five 0 - 18.21 million & 5.8/15

FOX

American Dad - 4.80 million & 2.2/5

The Simpsons - 6.50 million & 3.1/7

Bob's Burgers - 4.84 million & 2.2/5

The Cleveland Show - 5.20 million & 2.4/5

ABC

America’s Funniest Home Videos - 6.45 million & 1.4/4

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition - 6.98 million & 1.9/5

NBC

Dateline - 4.59 million

Why any network would air any originals against conference finals is beyond me especially FOX, whose main demographic for that night are HUGE NFL fans

Holy shit!

Harry's Law is the biggest hit NBC has had in years!

That's amazing that it didn't drop in the demo and that it lost less than a million viewers. I see a second season order coming. :)

Bob's Burger's is dropping very nicely. :D

Lie to Me did it's best ratings in years, worrisome for Fringe but frankly the likelihood is all Fox dramas besides House, Bones and Glee get canceled. I'm still hoping out hope Fringe gets a 4th season AND that Fox tells them at upfronts that it's the final season.

That's probably one of the main reasons why they ordered a Wonder Woman pilot from David E. Kelley.

I didn't even think of that. Very good point.

Harry's Law final numbers...
Harry’s Law
- 10.430 million viewers
- 6.6/11 HH
- 2.1/6 A18-49

Once again they went up a little.

NBC and Fox are fighting over House....

I never knew Universal made House. Stupid NBC is just giving their hits away!

I hope House is canceled... more room for Fringe! :p

Yeah I could NOT believe that FOX ran all those new cartoons against the Championship. At least Family Guy wasn't new :p

House really only has 1 season left so if FOX has to pay more they could always shorten the season, the deal will happen either way because 10 million+ and a demo in the late 3's will get you a 8th season ;) You don't think NBC are hoping to force FOX out of its deal and then NBC air the show itself ? but they could do that anyway can't they if they so choose to ? NBC would probably still lose viewers just by having the peacock logo on the same screen as House

Though I do wonder what FOX will try and replace House with after its 8th and most likely final season.
