TV news...

NBC has picked up Chuck for another 11 episodes bringing the total to 24. Chase has been given a full pickup to 22 as well.

Why NBC picked up Chase I don't know, unlike Chuck it doesn't have a solid time shifted audience (20% ish increase for Chuck). The 11 not standard 9 pick up for Chuck makes me think those final 2 episodes will be used to wrap up the show if NBC decide to tell the writers no season 5.

Sunday Cable...

Boardwalk Empire - 2.90 million

Dexter - 1.79 million

Neither include same night repeat that are added on to the final numbers so expect both shows to have broken 3 and 2 million each. I wonder if HBO are happy they picked up Empire so early though it deserves higher ratings.

ABC has ordered four additional scripts for Brothers & Sisters, which would bring the current season episode order up to a full 22. I would expect with these numbers that ABC would give the so called bubble show a 6th season of at least 13 episodes.

Lie To Me only gets a 2.0 with House as a lead-in? If Fox has to cancel Fringe or Lie To Me, the choice is obvious to me. Hopefully they see things the same way. Fringe did much better than LTM when it had House as a lead-in.

I think FOX will cancel both. Lie To Me is not that expensive to produce and its a in-house show so I assumed it would be better off doing a 13 summer run.

I'm hoping they pair up Terra and Fringe on sci-fi Tuesdays or something but I think you are correct.

The X Factor will take up 3 hours of shows a week, that's going to kill a lot of shows.

I thought last year Fox was trying to kill it and they kept it around I really have no clue what they are thinknig. But once again Lie to Me is a Fox show and Fringe is a WB show so Fox I think rather have Lie to Me. I agree.

Chase is still on because as the NBC spin puts it... it's better than The Jay Leno Show, but costs a lot more.
