TV Ratings (Friday & Sunday 1st/3rd May)

Why the hell are they airing Sit Down at 7pm? Yeesh. They can't even run it at 7:30 so it's, yknow, touching the other new shows and not surrounded by local programming and a rerun? I think this one is safely canceled... it's a shame I think it's actually pretty funny. You can really see the Arrested Development type wordplay in it.

FOX moved it there because they have already decided based on the first 2 episodes to cancel it. As for Cold Case I think the ratings of the last few episodes have saved the show though it will get a new 10pm partner next season, my vote goes for Half a season of WaT and half a season of a new show.

^^ My vote goes for another full season of WaT.

CBS shouldn't be so greedy. WaT, Cold Case, Flashpoint all get decent numbers, and on any other network The Unit would be safe as well, but no, not for CBS, 'decent' isn't good enough.

What irks me is that I only really got into mainstream drama because I was sick of cult and genre shows getting shafted. Now, apparently nothing's safe. Fcukers.

I will post this in the next tv thread should the other ratings come out but here some news which concerns several shows...

Til Death is set to get another season despite not airing since October due to a deal offered by SONY pictures.

Despite being cancelled King of the hill could air some episodes in the Fall or the summer due to FOX not having enough time to air all episodes that where originally ordered

NBC has hinted once again that Law & Order, Medium and Chuck will get pickups but My Name is Earl looks to be dead

CW will cancel Reaper, Everybody Hates Chris and The Game. Also despite recent rumors of a pickup "Privileged" will be axed as well

Old Christine is set to be axed by CBS but is safe because ABC has already confirmed they will pickup the show if axed by the Eye network

Flashpoint now looks to be safe on CBS but Gary Unmarried, The Unit, Worst Week, Harpers Island and Eleventh Hour look dead.

Cold Case and Without A Trace are still in danger and reports say CBS will axe one of them and are currently looking at the budgets of both shows...Basically cheapest show wins

Mixed news there.

I'm glad that Chuck and Flashpoint look like they'll pull through, but I'm disappointed (but not surprised) that The Unit looks like it's had it. Also Cold Case or WaT? AAARRGGH!!!! Renew them both you greedy fcukers!

I've said it before and I'll say it again; I don't care if everything else gets cancelled as long as Chuck gets another season.

Though to be honest, I wouldn't mind seeing another season of The Unit.

Actually according to wikipedia, there are NINETEEN episodes of King of the Hill remaining after this season ends! So they could air a full season next year.

here is the king of the hill bit...

At the conclusion of Season 13 there will be two remaining episodes left. 20th Century Fox Television kept the show in production for four additional episodes, bringing the actual amount of remaining episodes to six, however the network nevertheless has yet to license those extra episodes....meaning as few as two or as many as six could air next season. Regardless, all of the completed installments will definitely turn up on DVD at some point.

Monday ratings are out will post up soon (good for castle btw).
