Wow, bad night for FOX Animation. I actually enjoyed Sit Down a lot more this week than the pilot.

Here's a rare article that claims that DVR viewing has saved a marginal show - too bad it's Harper's Island and not something good like Chuck.

According to the network, "Harper's Island" got a reprieve from outright cancellation thanks to its live-plus-seven Nielsen ratings, which exhibited solid DVR interest in the show's premiere. The limited series also earned a healthy online streaming audience.
Not enough to get it another season tho.

Well, seeing as it's designed to be a single-season story...

They were planning to extent the Harper's franchise if it became a franchise. Harper's Cruise Ship, Harper's Creepy Amusement Park After Dark, etc.

Cute idea. I would have been onboard if the execution didn't suck so much.

Dollhouse should be dead before we end April and its a pity about The Unit but it was dead soon as it loss being on the same night as NCIS, it would of done so much better with the demo if the family crap was limited that just never worked for the show. Bones is fine and will be picked up for a 5th season though if FOX wants more then they need to stop moving it around so much...

In the fall they should keep a Bones/House combo on Monday Nights followed by giving it the Wednesday 8pm slot.

Dollhouse and Prison Break are both below TTSCC.

Southland is down almost 2 million since the premier?

Earl and P&R are both doing worse than Chuck is, and Chuck has way more competition. Come on, NBC. Dump both those shows, throw Chuck on Thursdays at 8 PM, put The Office and 30 Rock behind it, and call it a season.

That might be an interesting idea for half a season anyway.

Harper's Island is being moved to Saturdays, so that tells you that.

And it seems like CBS is deliberately trying to kill The Unit. Repeats for a few weeks, ONE random new episode out of nowhere, then a few more repeats, no rhyme or reason for anything.

As mentioned in one of the other threads though, who's going to actually be on the show? Braff's said he's going, Faison's already signed on for another pilot, as has McGinley and Flynn.

Brothers & Sisters, Castle, Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Lost and Ugly Betty will all be back I think.

They have ended up cancelling about half their schedule though. Serves them right for not treating Boston Legal with the respect with which it was due. Fcukwits.

Shrubs season 9 would deal more with the new interns, more like a spinoff than a continuation of now.

Using that format, they could keep the show going indefinitely. Doesn't sound like a great idea to me. They should just finish it and if they really wanted to do something similar with a different cast, just pitch a new show.

This year will finish it off as a series finale. if it gets picked up just ignore it, and pretend that it ended this season.
