I never even noticed that Jay Leno's demo numbers were so bad.

Yeh NBC needs too shut down that failured experiment and if they want to save money then just follow the lead of FOX and end prime time at 10pm.

Interesting that NBC is actually relatively strong on Fridays. Why is there talk of L&O ending when it's doing better than most shows on NBC Monday-Thursday?

Maybe. But if it can get >7 million on NBC on a Friday, I can't help but wonder what it might get if it were given a better time again.

Smallville should have stayed on Thursday night. If CW was smart(which they are not) They would have kept Smallville on Thursday with Supernatural and paired The Vampire Diaries with Reaper On friday...if they kept Reaper on.

No way would they premiere one of their big new shows on a Friday night.

I think Jay Leno is fine for 2-3 times a week, but 5 is too much. However they need to keep him happy so he doesn't go to ABC.

I would guess cost and the demo.

True, but rerun money evens out.

However the show would have ended 2-4 years ago but they were being nice to Dick Wolf and he wanted 20 seasons.
