While I still feel FRINGE faces being canned and will stay on the "Likely to be cancelled" section of my AXE list. However there are some good points to state from these results...

* Others shows dropped this week but Fringe held both viewers and demo 100% from last week.

* Fringe has helped FOX win (or tied) friday nights several weeks in a row for the first time in MANY MANY years.

* Fringe won in FOX's main demo, the 18-34 male demo

The biggest plus however is most TV pundits I read from are all saying they expect Fringe to return, which surprises me. They feel FOX knows they won't do better + WB/Bad Robot are desperate enough to offer a very good deal for FOX to air a 4th season...There is a cool metacritic creation here that has put all the predictions of major tv site's together and FRINGE is not in the serious danger zone in any of them.

However I feel FOX wants a 1.7 minimum so I won't move Fringe to 50/50 yet.

Actually Fringe tied the men 18-34 number, tied with a show that's on the CW.

And Kitchen Nightmare did better in that demo as well. And Fox's main demo isn't men 18-34 (they do love that demo), but its w 18-34 (and boy the CW hates that).

I think Fringe will be give 13 episodes to wrap up next season. Or we'll be sending FOX strawberry milkshakes, cows, or amber.

I think if a shorter season WB will want 15 for Fringe to hit the 80 mark for sydnication.

CSI NY is a tough one to call because The Good Wife is not staying on tuesday's after this season but the question is are CBS confident that it won't flop on friday nights so they stick with the status quo or do they end the costly CSI NY show for something fresh...At the moment I would move CSI NY to sundays (CSI Miami to tuesdays) and TGW to fridays but if TGW does flop then you can always just move CSI NY right back.

Not as much as it would of had with 4 seasons, WB wants to make enough money via other streams (DVD/I Tunes/Selling show to other world markets, to offset the loss of lowering the Fee to FOX to air a 4th season...more episodes mean more $$$ and I just like rounded numbers (80 over the 78 number of a 13 episode order)

Well why not just have WB order 122 more episodes!

Really I don't see sync numbers meaning anything, Star Trek has 78 episodes doesn't it? :p

Why not just order 25 episodes, nice and even 90, or 35 more?
