It's time to get those rotors spinning and vote. You may vote for your 2 favorite entries but not your own. scotpens #1: Bell 206 JetRanger from The Towering Inferno scotpens #2: Magnum, P.I.'s Hughes 500D scotpens #3: "Little Nellie" autogyro from You Only Live Twice the G-man #1: Bell UH-1 Iroquois "Huey" from Apocalypse Now the G-man #2: Bell 47 from M*A*S*H auntiehill: Sikorsky 58DT "Screaming Mimi" from Riptide Kai "the spy" #1: John McClane vs. Helicopter; Die Hard Kai "the spy" #2: Ethan Hunt vs. Helicopter; Mission: Impossible Kai "the spy" #3: James Bond vs. Helicopter; Tomorrow Never Dies Vanyel: King Kong knocks out a copter
I auto-rotated to a rough but survivable landing and voted. Airwolf has capabilities that no real helicopter has, like supersonic flight. So it qualifies as at least borderline SF.
CLIFFHANGER, anyone? That helicopter knew not to explode until any heroic characters were safely distanced!
I had thought about using the scene from Spider-Man: Home Coming, where Spidey jumps over the copter to use to swing around and break the glass to get into the Washington Monument. But I didn't see a good angle to use. Except the one where he flies right over it.
I thought of Blue Thunder but assumed it was futuristic enough to run afoul of the "no sci-fi" contest rule.
Looks like I win again! But since it was my contest, I'll concede to the runner-up. @the G-man, the next contest is yours. Thanks to all who participated!
