This week's contest is devoted to historical televison dramas; there's been a slew of them lately. For the sake of argument, let's define "historical" as anything from the 1960s or earlier-- any TV show, TV movie or mini-series set in the 1960s or before. No blatant scifi or fantasy allowed, so Brisco County & Game of Thrones are out but Hell on Wheels is in. Some leeway will be given for shows where they believe in magic or gods interference but most of the series should be fairly realistic and from a definite period of history. So, Vikings? In. BBC's Arthur? Nope.
Some suggestions: Poldark, Downtown Abbey, Band of Brothers, Deadwood, The Crown, Little House on the Prairie, Ripper Street, Copper, Peaky Blinders, Black Sails, Turn, Victoria, The Tudors, Hell on Wheels, etc.
Standard av rules apply: 200 x 200 pixels max, 1 MB max. The poll will go up next Sunday, the 26th.
My choice, a new favorite:
Tom Hardy in Taboo.
