News TV-MA Star Trek shows now TV-14

Ive seen some X Rated Star Trek. Hilarious stuff.

As for Lower Decks I don’t know why they are censoring all the swear words, but I don’t like it. This is a pay service, like HBO.

I say Fuck the bleeps!
I agree with you but it's because it's animated, and I'm sure they're concerned that kids are watching and they don't want to do anything that will tick off parents.

I don’t care about swearing or whether the sexual happens on camera or implied offscreen, but I’d like the characters to have the option of realistic adult relationships that aren’t TV-sanitized.

I like social realism in my fantasy and sci-fi. Make up all the magic, demons, science and aliens you want but make the humans act like actual humans, including their relationships. Don’t point the camera at the naked parts of you don’t want, but don’t sanitize the impression of what they’re doing.

I still find it hilarious that TMP is the only Trek film with a G rating, especially with the lovely transporter mishap that gave me nightmares for years.

Planet of the Apes, with its heavy amount of murder, blood, swearing ("God damn you all to hell!"), a decayed corpse, and the occasional lobotomy and Charlton Heston's backside, also got a G rating. What a time to be alive.
IIRC, the G-rating was originally far more broad, and such movies could contain content that would be considered PG today. It really wasn't until later years that it began to be associated with "safe for kids," IMO.

Yeah G means general audiences, so the average movie goer. Maybe back then less kids were going to the movies?

Yeah, they used the G rating in the 70s because they didn't have PG-13 yet. Once they rolled out PG-13, it became the new PG and the G rating became strictly a kids/family movie rating.

There's a TNG porn parody with surprisingly good production values, a good cast of actors (porn stars) that imitate the TNG characters very well, and a really good story to boot. Basically it's a 'lost episode' of TNG where the crew finds the now-older Tasha Yar from the "Yesterday's Enterprise" war timeline in suspended animation. Turns out Sela placed her there and brainwashed her to take control of the Enterprise-D so that Sela could capture the ship and bring it back to Romulus. There's an option to just watch the G-rated scenes or the full X-rated version. The G-rated version literally could be another episode of TNG.
