Contest: ENTER TV&M Avatar Contest: The Ties that Bind: Non-SF&F Edition

So who doesn't love an epic crossover??

It came about that I am running the avatar contest in three separate forums this time around, so I thought it would be fun to use the same theme in each one, similar to the Destination: Moon crossover in the Before Times of 2019. Interestingly, each of the preceeding contests in the three forums ended as ties, so I decided to play with that, and the theme for this contest is The Ties that Bind, specifically referring in this case to the ties of matrimony. (Since we are at the beginning of the traditional "wedding season", this is doubly appropriate!)

Your entries should depict a married couple in any non-SF&F media. They should depict couples who are currently married: not previously married, nor planning to be married. If their marital status changed over the course of the story, then the image should be taken from when they were married. As well, both members of the couple should appear in the image.

Standard avatar contest rules apply: maximum image size of 200 x 200 pixels, and a maximum file size of 1 MB. And of course the entries must be SFW. Each person may enter up to two avatars. The contest will be open for about a week; I am planning to put the poll up next Sunday.

As an example, here is my first entry:

Moira & Johnny Rose, Schitt's Creek

If you are interested, please consider entering the other two contests:

Science Fiction & Fantasy
Real Life

Many thanks go to my co-winner in the last TV&M contest, @auntiehill , for graciously allowing me to run the next one.

Have fun! :techman:

What's the deal with James Bond movies? Are they SF&F or not?

Depends on the individual movie, is my personal philosophy. YOLT and Moonraker depend very much on science fiction in their depiction of space travel. DaF and DaD could be argued to be SF with the space lasers. In pretty much all other Bond movies, any SF element is minor enough as to not make the overall movie SF.

When we originally created this forum ages and ages ago, one of the (admittedly somewhat arbitrary) decisions we made was that James Bond discussions would go in the new TV & Media forum, and Indiana Jones discussions would go in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy forum, even though they're about equal on their use of sci-fi and fantasy. I think this was at least in part because I'm a big James Bond fan and dammit, I couldn't let Spiff and Neroon and Timby get all the cool stuff over in their forum. :p

Of course with things like the avatar contests, the person running the contest is allowed to bend the rules however they want, but for the TV&M forum as a whole, Bond movies aren't skiffy, even the ones that are skiffy. ;)

As far as Bond movies go, I will probably have to defer to the expertise of the people who have actually watched any...

Depends on the individual movie

For the contest, this seems logical to me. Since no one has identified any SF&F elements in the movie actually entered, it makes sense to me that it should go here.
