TV Chefs - Whose recipes do you make?

^^ I love Steve Raichlen's cookbooks, especially Ribs, Ribs, Ribs and the Grilling Bible, but I just can't get into his show.

I also love his show, because I love how he cooks out in the open, and I just love that he really knows his stuff, and you really learn about the nuances in the different regional BBQ and get the history behind a lot of it.

I do a lot of Rachael Ray recipes because my family can deal with her ingredients, but I usually "fix" the recipes with substitutions, add things, remove things (mushrooms, ew). I've made Paula Deen's french toast casserole, which is awesome. If I want Bobby Flay's food, I'll just go to one of his restaurants at the casino. :)

I'm not a big fan of Bobby Flay's but I absolutely love his burger place, Bobbys Burger Palace. Went to it first time at the Bergen Mall in Paramus NJ, just after it opened. It was so good, took my wife over and she loved it as well. Then we had it again at Mohegan Sun casino and they opened on here on Long Island.

I hae a bunch of cookbooks from Food Network people- the chefs I use most are Bobby Flay (love his new Throwdown cookbook), Giada, and Rachael.

I really need to get myself some of Hugh F-W's books - I have the DVDs of the River Cottage series and I love watching those - great comfort viewing, but I don't have any of the books, I'd like to try some of his creations.

I have his 'River Cottage Everyday' book, made quite a bit from it and there is some very good stuff in there. I do have to adjust for toffishness if you see my meaning (he does have a tendency to think everyone has the money for the best cuts from a local butcher) but there is a lot to tempt you. His chorizo carbonara is very simple, not 20 minutes work if you cheat with the chorizo and use bought, and it's lovely.
