Tuvoks Hair... ridiculous

I agree though you did make me google "posstos" which I am now laughing about. However there are some fans the refer to the TOS era Trek as old.

Dont get me wrong mate.. I agree whole heartedley.. Tim Russ' acting was SPOT ON.. My quarrel is with the costume and writing team who decided to redefine the "look" of Vulcanism that was established by TNG and DS9..

This seems to contradict your original post, where you say

. . .Tim Russ is an OK actor.. tho i think he was a bit more unreasonable than the average vulcan. I didnt get the stink of wisdom from him that i got from Sarek, Spock etc.. He seemed way too haughty. . .

Your main objection seems to be that Tuvok is dark skinned, which was most likely a producers/casting decision and not that of writers or costumers.

And I seem to recall a magazine interview from almost 20 years ago, where Tuvok's hair was decided with Russ' own input. I'm actually relieved they went back to using an actor's natural hair instead of those stupid identical wigs.

The saddest thing was the DS9 era female Romulans. They dumped Caithlin Dar and gave us asexual flower pots.

She was cute, no doubt about that. The TNG/DS9 era only had Sela, Cretak, the extra who debriefed the DS9 crew about the Defiant and the extra who killed Garak's assassin. Not exactly an all star cast. Donatra wasn't that bad though.

Lets try a different approach. Let me ask this. Has anybody seen a bald klingon?
Nope, never saw a bald Klingon...

Mate, you are splitting hairs (no pun intended).. In my first post i was referring to Tuvok as a character (being unreasonable and not having the "stink of wisdom i got from spock"...) ..

Next i stated Tim Russ was "SPOT ON" meaning i commended Tim Russ's acting ability. My Ire is with the fact that the VISUAL portrayal of Tuvok is both insulting to the concept of Vulcans and cheap!

If Tim Russ had been given the appropriate vulcan characteristics there would not even be an issue.. instead we're given a poor substitute for crack cocaine.. (in the US they call it "red bull")

Try opening that closed minded little african american mind of yours eh?

There was nothing wrong with how Tuvok looked.

Saavik doesn't count just because Slut says so. So by that logic Chang wouldn't either. It makes defending your position easy when you can decide what facts can and can't be used. Easy to ferret out those inconvenient ones that undermine your position.

Picard OWNS Tuvok!!

He is obviously the hair apparent of this thread. Let us replace all Tuvok discussion with his bald wonderfulness.

You do a google search fro Black Vulcan, and it's just an endless slue of porn parodies starring the character Black Vulcan from the 70s cartoon Superfriends...

OH!

In Young Justice this year, they reintroduced all the made up racial token characters from the Superfriends, Apache Chief, Samurai, El Dorado and whatnot... But did they decide that Static (shock) was a modern do-over interchangeable withBlack Vulcan?

You presume too much, and sure don't sound like anyone from Indiana either. And that's another racist remark you've made.

I'm 90 percent sure that Slut is Black.

There is a small difference between denigrating racial abuse and self deprecating humour, but not if there's still a 10 percent chance that this Slut is a cracker.

So i will assume by black you mean the so called "african american" and by "cracker" you mean "whitey" .. Im neither mate.

*sigh*... exodus my african american friend.. take a step back from your race card and look at the big picture.. Its not about you.. its about the STANDARD. Traditional star trek has had many african american actors playing vulcans.. with TRADITIONAL VULCAN TRAITS.. not "black guy trying to be vulcan" traits... See the difference?

If Tuvok was instead a "white" dude with blonde hair and blue eyes.. ID BE SAYING THE SAME THING... So chill your Al Sharpton warp driven azz-teroid down and try to look at the broader perspective? MMMk Pumpkin???
