Turbolifts and Dual Sets of Doors

IN TOS there are anumber of episodes where you can see both sets of doors.

It required good timing between stage hands pulling the dual doors in the proper oder. As production moved on they decided to shoot the doors from directly outside or directly inside instead of at angles where you could see both.

If you look at the whole first season in a short time period and remember to look for it--you will see both sets quite a number of times.

I appreciate the initial poster's comments -- good eye!

Yet . . . we can accept violation of physical laws via warp drive, etc. -- but we get hung up on the realistic functioning elevator doors? :)

I'm not hung up -- or caught in the doors, for that matter. Just asking a question about minutiae, as happens all the time around here.

I don't think any episodes after "The Corbomite Maneuver" had dual sets of doors -- and I don't think any feature film had them either. Can anyone prove otherwise? Inquiring minds want to know!

Tomorrow is Yesterday has the dual doors as well. While the shuttlecraft bay had double doors, those functioned more like an airlock. The turbolift doors in TiY opened slowly and sounded just like an elevator door.

Also, there's one episode which I can't pin down, that has a scene on the bridge with the red turbolift doors way open and the inner grey doors closed. Anyone know the episode?
