This is about a 4% increase if the estimates hold up. The film's first and second Tuesday declines were 13.3% and 25.8%, respectively. Most of the films in the Top 10 increased from Monday's numbers. Trek is #79 on the all-time list, unadjusted. It should pass Star Trek IV's adjusted gross today.

International total - $104,040,699 (+$1.12 million from Monday)
Global total - $315,949,508

That's the benefit of "legs"...

Trek dropped the least week-to-week (if I'm reading the figures properly)... Terminator the most behind Obsessed...

Again, another 2 over a million and a decent weekend... :)

I thought about this while I went into a 70% filled Tuesday night show.Star Trek is a movie you see and enjoy on the first time, but then watch again to see the subtle nuances.Even if you see it 3 times in the course of inviting others for their first time you'll still be rewarded with details you missed the firsr few times you saw it.Seeing the deflector open on the Enterprise on my second trip was worth the price paid,as does enjoying the final battle sequence again...it says something when a fight scene is fun to watch even when you know how it ends.

Wolvering and Terminator=Watch once, then wait for DVD.

That's awesome that Trek is holding up so well. I've seen it 7 times thus far and I am still on the edge of my seat through most of the film. To me, the mark of a great film is not being aware of how much time passes while you are in the theater. If I am looking down at my watch and going "Wow...look at the time" then that's a bad thing. Trek still keeps me entertained for the whole length.

Its going to continue making 1m every day til Christmas and become the highest grossing film ever.

I expected something relatively close to Monday's numbers, but a modest increase is excellent. I hope it stays steady through the rest of the week. I'm still pulling for it to hit the $250M mark!
