Tuesday (5/26) - $2.05 M - $193 M Domestic

A&D and ST keep switching back and forth... Gonna go one more time (only my 4th) tomorrow, last day of digital projection.

Trek might go over $200 on Friday, if not then definitely Saturday.

My calculations have Trek finishing with about $255 Million dollars based on Iron Man, a spreadsheet and guesswork percentages... :)

I do have to ask though... if it is pulling in 2 a day, then say 14 for 20 this week and gets to 211, where will the other 40 plus come from? Assuming a 10-5-2.5-1.75 patter in ensuing weeks, that is.

It will come from the movie being in theaters for quite a while. I have it pegged between 235-260 Mil.

Well its based on Iron Man numbers, I think thats the best comparison...

Weekends at about 70% of what Iron Man did and Weekdays at 90% of what Iron Man did... that gives us the above numbers, simple really :)

Can I request more clarity in the posting of these numbers?

"STAR TREK PARAMOUNT 4,053 2,012,878 505 -34% 193,027,281"

Is just a string of numbers (and words) with little distinction on where one begins and one ends and what even those numbers mean.

I am not sure what the "505" is, but the rest of it is:

# of theatres, how much it made that day, the 505, % drop from last week this day(?), how much it has made so far.

just guesses. someone will correct me, I'm sure.

I know what the numbers mean -aside from the "505"- but what I mean is it's just a handful of numbers slapped up there with no distinction between them.

A simply hyphen between each set of numbers would go a long way towards making the numbers more obviously seperate.

I agree with you that Trek clears 200 million by June 1, although I do have a hard time seeing it pass 210 to 215 domestic by D-Day (June 6th). However, I highlight July 4th weekend because I actually see Paramount making a Second Push for that weekend. Studios often do that to squeeze that last dollar out of the slowpokes and the hard core base to get them into the theaters over the July 4th Holiday. They also run heavy advertising as a comp deal they have with their NATO (National Association of Theater Owners) partners. I can see Para doing a big push for that weekend on Trek, probably trying to squeeze an extra five million out of the lemon.

I think there're two spaces between each group of numbers. I don't seem to have any problems separating them in my mind :)

Yeah.

MovieTickets states that "holdover Night at the Museum: Battle Of The Smithsonian is selling 36% of all its online tickets vs UP which is selling 11%, Angels & Demons 10%, Star Trek 9%, Terminator Salvation 5%."

Wow. Up 1/3 of NatM, and ST head of TS.

Me likey.
