Trying not to skim the contents of this thread too thoroughly, but so excited that "Fallen Gods" has a ship named after Shantherin th'Clane (aka Therin), a character first introduced in the pro novel, "Ex Machina" (Christopher L Bennett, 2004) - and namesake of Therin Park (and New Therin Park) in five other novels!

It was definitely an improvement on Seize the Fire, but that's really the only positive thing I can say about it. It wasn't a bad book, per se, but compared to the stuff most of the other authors have been putting out, it can't really hold up.
