If the Andorian Transporter Duplicates aren't behind the Temporal Apocalypse we riot.

What can I say? I love Andorians. Also, that's a terrible fate for them that you have to wonder about given Andoria ends up about to rejoin the Federation at the end.

Tholian op or not.

I admit that this is entirely due to the fact that I loved Starfleet Academy and Pava Ek'Noor sh'Aqabaa a.k.a Pava.

One of the things I admit is that I am most fond of when stories of Star Trek are personal and emotional over the deeply scientific (as I am fully a fan of "nonsensium" science in Star Trek: crystals, red matter, gods, and so on). So while saving the planet was important during Fallen Gods, I admit I was much more interested in Pava's story, murder, and the twisted business on the Therin.

So definitely it's a matter of having a character I very much appreciated and enjoyed in the Titan Crew's fate being of interest to me. After all, you don't want a character you like being left in the limbo of "is kidnapped by Tholians and an Andorian obsessed with breeding age Andorians" because, well, that's horrifying. There's also the fact she's such a minor character that you worry that the story won't be picked up again and we'll never find out what happens regarding.

Which seems to be the case here.
