Cromartie develops into one of the best antagonists you'll ever see. The mannerisms are terrific.

It's just such a damn shame nobody in the USA knows how to pronounce his name.

I watched the pilot episode on DVD today and I'd completely forgotten how forgettable the original Cromartie was.

I did chuckle when he walked in and said "Mr Ferguson is ill today" though - I wondered what the hell that episode title was about!

I don't know about the guy playing Cromartie. I just feel like he should be a little bigger and more built. The guy is a good actor but he seems like he'd be better at playing a little weasly type villian, not an unstoppable killing machine.

I like Garret Dillahunt as Cromartie. But it's funny you should say that. As shown The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford and in the series Deadwood where one of his two roles was the man who shot Wild Bill Hickok, he excels at playing the little weaselly villain.
