Trying to identify a game...

This is odd, as I have so little detail! But want to give it a whirl.

I remember playing an arcade game when I was young. It would have been about 1987.

I remember it had fruit in it... bananas I think, and cherries. Three were 3 cherries on a bunch IIRC.

That's it! Ha.

I just remember the fruit quite well visually in my mind and remember loving the game.

Does Fruity Frank ring a bell? This is the closest thing I could find based on the description:

There were several variations of that. There was also "Mr. Do". Though "Fruity Frank" seems to fit the description best.

I don't thihnk it's that, no. Matches my hugely vague description, but it isn't.

I think the graphics were clearer, more modern than that. Although as it was 1987 I do wonder if my recollection is off on that one!

My instinct is that it was a platformer... although I may well be foggying my already vague memory.

How about Wonder Boy? It came out in 1986 and you have to collect fruit.

Was hoping for more of a eureka moment, but the graphics of this does kind of fit with my mental memory. I need to explore more screenshots.
