Trump's Cuts' To Science And Technology Programs

This is not good for the Earth.

This is Trump's Budget that he isn't talking about.

All of the rivers and lakes and ponds will become the Swamp.

Everything from the Obama Wire Tapping to the Russian Hacking Scandal is a distraction to what is going on behind the scenes with the EPA and Health Care.

Trump's cuts to the EPA, Science and Health Care

How Trump's budget cuts to science and the EPA will prove that he is allowing companies to dump toxic waste into rivers and the ocean to save money while making Americans sick and unhealthy.

A few of Trump's budget cut's:

These are keys keys to his impeachment

—Eliminate more than 50 EPA programs, such as Energy Star (which supports energy-efficient products and buildings), Targeted Air Shed Grants (a program that assists in controlling air pollution at the local level); and the program that screens for endocrine disruptors, such as mercury and BPA that impact humans' hormone systems.

—Stop funding the Clean Power Plan, which was signed by President Barack Obama in 2015 to cut carbon emissions from current power plants.

—Impact climate change science by discontinuing funding to related international programs, research, partnership programs and related climate change efforts. (President Trump has said he would pull out of international agreements to curb greenhouse gas emissions, including the Paris Agreement, which aims to combat climate change in an international effort

—Reduce funding to the Hazardous Substance Superfund Account aimed at cleaning up toxic waste sites that have been declared Superfund sites; the EPA would have to use existing settlement money to clean up these hazardous waste sites.

—Eliminate funding to some regional environmental efforts, such as funds for the Great Lakes restoration initiative and one for the Chesapeake Bay, among other geographic programs.

Earth Science gets a substantial cut, particularly programs focused on climate change:

The first one is the most crucial.

—Programs on the chopping block include PACE, or the Plankton, Aerosol, Cloud, ocean Ecosystem, which uses satellite systems to monitor the color of the oceans as a proxy for their health, and gain new insight into aerosols and clouds.

Why is this program crucial? With PACE, NASA can monitor oceans and rivers for increased toxic pollution based on the imaging system detecting changes associated with chemical toxins that have been dumped into the water source. Without PACE there would not be any oversight into where the toxic chemicals would be dumped and like Flint fake documents could be written to say the water was clean when in fact is polluted and would contain harmful levels of lead and mercury.

—The Orbiting Carbon Observatory, the Deep Space Climate Observatory, and the CLARREO Pathfinder, which measures atmospheric heat to test climate models and predictions, are all set to be canceled. All of these programs are focused on better understanding climate change.

Toxic chemicals also react with the clouds around the factory at the molecular level that would cause the environment to to heat up as well as being cooled down, which once again CLARREO would be able to detect and alert health officials to so that a local health emergency did not take place.

All of these changes that severely affect the health of people while covering up their dangerous effects with false reports like Flint.

With Ryan and Trump's Health Care Plan being very detrimental to the elderly first and foremost and providing less coverage for more money it's obvious that even Trump's health care plan is meant to cover up his illegal dumping of toxins into rivers and the ocean that would make people sick on purpose so he can satisfy his own greed at the expense of the environment and the people.

When Trump Supporter's get sick and they look for help but none is there there only response would be that it "Is What it is."

Trump needs to be impeached.

SNIP!

Were you this strident when the previous administration gutted the space program, and insisted on outsourcing NASA to private contractors on one hand, and to the Russia on the other? Not a Trump supporter, but NASA has always been at the mercy of budget cuts, for years.

Yeah, many of us were. Besides, that has nothing at all to do with the point Dryson made.

Future tip to you: when your only defense to an action is to point to some other bad action, you know you are in the wrong.

The NASA budget is largely intact. The Europa lander got nixed--but I think Culberson will get it put back in. I don't see Trump fighting him on that at least.

Outsourcing the goal of privatizing space exploration is one thing.

Gutting programs that NASA uses to monitor the health of rivers, lakes and oceans so companies can't be tracked when they dump their waste water is another thing entirely.

The anti-science administration (I refuse to label the fiasco named Drumpf as our president). I can think of no more backward, moronic government in the world right now, and that includes North Korea.

The space frenzy currently going on will continue and increase. It's the busiest it's ever been. Someone else will have to fund Earth science however.

Trump is like something out of a Captain Planet episode.

...such as Looten Plunder, Hoggish Greedly, or Verminous Skumm? I think he'd be a new villain -- Orange Skidmark, perhaps.

These programs are being drastically cut at a crucial moment in our species' timeline. Either we push ahead and pour money into conservation programs, renewable energy, and get the rest of the developed world to follow suit, or the ship we call modern civilization is going to slam headlong into a very large iceberg, one of our own creation. It was difficult getting people on board when we had a President who was pushing to combat global climate change. Now we've got a President who thinks it's a Chinese conspiracy. We are well and truly screwed if we can't get the damn ship turned around. The earth will survive, she's survived catastrophic environmental change before, but humans might not, nor might thousands of other species.
