This is my take on what Trump is doing regarding his deportations.
Nearly 800,000 will be deported after DACA failed. An additional 200,000 will be deported from the TPS.
In both cases the targets are Latino's.
In neither case are African immigrants being targeted for deportation. With nearly 1,000,000 Latino's being to made to leave the U.S. that is 1,000,000 less votes for Democrats in any election. So the first agenda of deporting DACA and TPS based Latino's is too reduce the number of votes for Democrats.

Based on the Pew research article above more African immigrants are coming into the U.S.
One factor behind this recent wave can be traced to the Refugee Act of 1980, which made it easier for those fleeing conflict-ridden areas, like Somalia and Ethiopia, to resettle in the U.S. Back then, less than 1% of all refugee arrivals were from Africa, compared with 37% in fiscal 2016, according to figures from the U.S. State Department’s Refugee Processing Center. Statistics from the Yearbook of Immigration Statistics confirm this point. Among the top 10 countries by refugee arrival in 2015, four were in Africa: Somalia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sudan and Eritrea. (The data in this analysis predates executive action on immigration in early 2017.)
Trump gets rid of Latino votes and then brings in African immigrants who will vote Republican. With the African immigrant increase at nearly 137% in 2013 the African immigrants votes are the votes that the GOP is going after.
Trump stated that the reason for deporting the Latino immigrants was because they are a threat. But if you look at where the African immigrants are coming from those locations are much more deadly than where the Latino immigrants are coming from. So the issue about the Latino's being the threat is a lie because Islamic terrorists come from the regions where the most Africans are immigrating from.
Allowing more African immigrants into the U.S. to the replace the one million deported Latino's will see the African immigrant population swell to nearly ten million in less than ten years.
Oil is also the big factor that is involved with Trump allowing more African immigrants into the U.S.
Otherwise Trump would have also have made plans to deport African immigrants that are part of the TPS but hasn't because they have voiced their support for Trump on Face Book from their African home countries.
