When humans drink vampire blood they are supposed to develop a rapport with the vampire, except of course when they just get scifi stoned, which is you really are smarter, stronger and sexier when you're bombed out of your feeble, merely rational mind. And vampires are gay, except when they're bloodthirsty fiends. Sookie is a fairy princess and Jason, supposedly her brother, is nothing. And so on and so forth. Put your mind in neutral for this show. You can't willingly suspend disbelief for the premises because the show can't keep them straight.
Jason rape was just icky, as well as being absurdly motivated. I think we were supposed to get off on it, which is even more unpleasant than the scenes themselves. Lafayette and Tara should be rather keener on finding someone who can whip vampire ass, or leaving, instead of just hanging around talking ghetto. But plot wise, the biggest hole is the idiocy from the Nan Flangan character.
