I’m probably the only one who liked season 3 more than season two *shrugs*. In my opinion, Russell was a better “bad guy” than Mary-Ann was. Nothing against Michelle Forbes, she’s great, but I could relate more to Russel’s motives.
Heh, don't get me wrong, this season was good, it wasnt a complete waste of time. (And now the wevar, Tiffany? will live on in infamy).
Russell was definately a better bad guy than Mary-ann and Renee, but I just felt bummed out that when they made him his baddest (the aforementioned and gossip magazine cover story spine ripping out of newsreader bit) what he did next really seemed tame and borderline out of character for what he was going through. I guess I felt the same way about Mary-Ann, you had 3 episodes of ruined Bon-Temps and Jason going all Evil dead with the chainsaws, then you end it with a bull stabbing her in the heart. When I type it like that it sounds a lot more interesting than I actually found it.
