True Blood 1x5 - Sparks Fly Out, Spoilers

Oh my, lots of fun stuff going on in this episode. Jason is now hooked on V, and he "notices" her while he's on it ... Of course, she doesn't get any of him, and catches him in the "act" with yet another random female. It doesn't help when Jason finds out just how big a torch she has for him ... and does his best to shove it in her face.

Bill shows up at the meeting of the Descendants, and while plenty of guys are there to make trouble - and Arlene - it goes off without a hitch. Except for the scene at the very end of the episode. A big hitch there.

Sam, Sam, Sam ... He's doing nothing but pining for Sookie. He's an emotional wreck, and everybody can see it except for him.

Poor Bill, he can't even enjoy toast from the fire place.

Naw, I don't think he has it. I think it's just pure and simple prejudice. It happens way too often in real life. Assholes assume just because someone is gay, they must have aids. Ugh. 30 years of history have taught people nothin. *shrug*

The shows creator (not the book series author) is homosexual and is known for tossing in things such as aids and Lafeyette's going all psycho defensive in there. He also created the HBo show six feet under which ran for a good while, I just caught part of the first season and its really interesting.

I don't think he just 'tosses that into the show for no reason. I think it shows this town has prejudices...against anything that they don't see as the 'norm'...like gays, vamps, and 'vamp tramps' etc.

Loved it, best episode to date. It´s getting better now that we know the characters. Bill gave a good excuse for the murderer not being a vampire, so now we should see who else can be the killer. I still bet for the new coroner boy, but others could be either Phlox or a redneck (too easy)
