Troops in Afghanistan have to skip breakfast

Did you even bother to read the item you linked to?

Your header is a complete falsehood.

From the Snopes page:

red.gif
FALSE: Budget cuts have eliminated breakfast for U.S. troops deployed overseas.
green.gif
TRUE: Hot breakfasts have been replaced with MRE for troops at some military bases in Afghanistan that are transitioning to local control.
So, no, troops in Afghanistan do NOT have to "skip breakfast" (in fact, if you actually had read the article, it specifically states that breakfast was already the least-attended meal of the day).

Well, the opening post contains no content beyond a link, so I really have little idea what the OP's point was.

I am a US Soldier in Afghanistan and I can tell you...I ate breakfast this morning.

This is old news from a couple of months ago. Was it going to happen? Yes. However, for whatever reason (I believe it was due to backlash by the American public once it became public knowledge) it was cancelled.

So what? Let's just berate someone if there's even a hint of them thinking something the collective doesn't like.

No commentary in the OP, and the content in the link doesn't gel with the thread title. We're done here.

Maybe I'm weird in my taste in food, but I love MRE's. I bought a bunch several years ago, and i loved every bite! :)
