Awesome!

Not only that, but I much prefer Tron Legacy over Tron 2.0 (and not just because it would get confused with the game).

From ComingSoon.net:
"Tron Legacy" is a 3D high-tech adventure set in a digital world that's unlike anything ever captured on the big screen. Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), looks into his father's disappearance and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years. Along with Kevin's loyal confidant (Olivia Wilde), father and son embark on a life-and-death journey across a visually-stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous.

Greetings, programs!

As I mentioned in the other thread, the look of this film is very slick -- and I'm rather excited about it.

Has anything else been seen of it, aside from the grainy cellcam of the teaser we saw a ways back?

I'm 39 years old, I was 12 when Tron came out....and that test footage is still the coolest thing ever to me.

I've been waiting for something besides that grainy youtube video, and I'm not disappointed. Of course they could screw the movie up, but that trailer really harkens back to the style of original. Even the music has a 1980's synth feel. I'm cautiously optimistic about this one. :)

Of course, I hope they got Sherid... I mean Bruce Boxleitner back as the title charactrer.

Wow that looks great!

They owe Zachary Levi at least a cameo in this thing. Chuck has been giving them pre-publicity! Too bad Disney and NBC aren't part of the same megalithic corporation...this just begs for a Chuck episode revolving around the Tron: Legacy movie premiere.

I'm 26. Tron was the first movie I remember watching on TV. I was about 2. My aunt and uncle were babysitting me and they rented that movie for me and my cousin to watch. To this day I remember watching it and being fascinated with the concept of people living inside of those white boxes my father worked on...

so I hear you.

It's not really a trailer, just the Grid VFX Concept Test stuff from last years Comic-Con cleaned up and finally released to the general public.
