Re: Trip & T'Pol: The Good That They Do

Hoo, I need some non-argument, non-bashing, non-negatory energy for a change. Pretty pictures, anyone?

Oh, my sentiments exactly. Thank you thank you Hopeful. A breathe of fresh air ****big sigh****

Re: Trip & T'Pol: The Good That They Do

Breathtaking!

You did it again--I just love your shot selection. And that quote is the perfect (*sniffle*) finishing touch.

Thanks to you HR. You were the one who gave me the idea by posting your pretty pictures.;)
I'm glad you liked the quote. It's from Alphonse de Lamartine, one of our great romantic authors. I thought it suited well the mood of Home. Well, it would be great for a Terra Prime wallpaper either.

Re: Trip & T'Pol: The Good That They Do

Here are some more basketball pictures from The Forge, as requested. :)

Capping the game was a challenge--the action is so quick, practically every frame goes by in a blur! TrekCore has several shots, but here are a few more...

Here are a few more production stills. My favorite is the one of Linda Park, already posted upthread, taken during rehearsal (she's wearing a sweatshirt over her gray tank). That smile is like sunshine!

Did I mention muscles...?

This one just cracked me up.

HopefulRomantic, I find it only appropriate to mention that I have a serious hand/arm fetish :drool::drool::drool:

Re: Trip & T'Pol: The Good That They Do

Thanks for posting these pictures Hopeful Romantic.I wish we'd seen more of the crew during their off duty hours like this or movie night.:)

Re: Trip & T'Pol: The Good That They Do

Glad to be of service. :) Especially to Pensive... happy, happy Pensive. :p

I understand why we saw more of this kind of "relaxed crew" stuff at the beginning (Archer and Trip watching a match over beer and pretzels, the Big Three in the Captain's Mess, Movie Night), when the future of the show was (supposedly) assured, and less as the behind-the-scenes situation became more tenuous. (More spaceships! Battles! Spfx! Orion slave girls! Et cetera!) Seeing something like this ball game in the 4th season, with the show in such desperate straits, seemed like a gift, so it's wonderful stuff.

Perhaps if the show had been cushioned by a successful, nurturing network, good ratings, great advertising, and the guarantee of a seven-year run, with no need for the showrunners to be writing to try to keep the series alive, but just...writing...there would probably have been the breathing room for more of this. (I remember aaaaaaaall those poker scenes on TNG...) Success is a wonderful thing. It would have been nice for Enterprise, too.

Re: Trip & T'Pol: The Good That They Do

I agree. I remember being in awe when there finally was a Captain's Mess scene in Countdown. That was such a nice touch in the middle of the fast pacing of the end of season 3. I crave for those scenes; they're gold to learn about the characters.

Re: Trip & T'Pol: The Good That They Do

I think what you said makes alot of sense the showrunners were under alot of pressure I remember they were said we wouldn't be getting alot more scenes in the Captain's mess and those other small moments we got to see the crew relaxing and enjoying themselves.I really missed those scenes .thank goodness for fanfiction to give us these kind sof stories.

Re: Trip & T'Pol: The Good That They Do

I absolutely agree with all the above - when you saw the characters relaxing and having down time you got to know them and their foibles. And the interaction between Archer and TnT at the dinner table was always fun to watch - didn't Triphammered keep a food chain going in the series?!
Lovely pictures people - HR I have a special folder just for your amazing screen caps and little featurelets. Now I can add those lovely behind-the-scenes pics - thank you.
Never let it be said that snapper doesn't give as well as take......:)

Re: Trip & T'Pol: The Good That They Do

Whew...I needed all those pictures to remove the stank of that TaTV discussion (actually wasn't a bad post, but TaTV just pisses me off so much).

All the guys were so buff, except Phlox. Lots of nice eye-candy.

Re: Trip & T'Pol: The Good That They Do

You're a better man than I am, Gunga Din. I haven't even cracked open that thread. Much prefer peace and happy eye candy. :)

Re: Trip & T'Pol: The Good That They Do

I've been enjoying viewing the pictures that have been posted in this thread. Lys made a beautiful T'Pol wallpaper maybe she'll post it here in this thread. I am amazed out how quickly she's been posting these wonderful wallpapers she's made.

Re: Trip & T'Pol: The Good That They Do

I got the new Star Trek magazine in the mail yesterday it's an Enterprise issue that talks about all Four seasons and has an interview with Dominic Keating and a new book exceprt of an Enterprise story
The story has an elderly T'Pol who lives on earth and it a different take of the events of what happened in Terra prime the fact that Paxton was able to fire the Vertaron array and the aftermath of those events turned erth into a xenophobic planet and Vulcan ,Tellar and Andoria have their own calition planets and for over a century there has been hardly communication with them. Star fleet orders Pike to bring T'Pol to meet with the Vulcan and other coalition to get Earth to rejoin them in talks after a century of strained relations. Captain Christhoper Pike wants to meet with T'Pol she's now 147 years old in this story. I have to say I plan on getting this book to find out what happens in this story. There some interesting things revealed in the exceprt hinted as to what happened to T'Pol.
It looks like Myriad Universe is going to be an interesting book series.
