Trip & T'Pol: The Good That They Do

Unfortunately Bound was basically the third to the last episode (since IaMD took up 2 episodes), and it was only at the end of it we seem them reconcile. Then at the beginning of Demons they were pretty much back to the way they had been before Trip left, and while mourning together would've been a good reason to have the two of them finally sit down together and sort things out, by then the series was over.

Mental and physical they are connected. I just uploaded a ton of TnT pics to my PB account and read some desriptions of eps to refresh my memory

Yes. Fortunately, on the other hand, there wasn't an oppertunity to discount that they had reconciled. Unless you take TATV at face value. Thankfully it was all on a holodeck for those that don't.

Maybe it's a glass half-empty, half-full situation. Or maybe it's like the Soprano's finale: you can speculate the ending you want to satisfy your desires as a viewer.

That was the real ending of ENT for me.

Observer Effect happened, for one. Trip and T'Pol looked like they were okay at the end of Daedalus...on good terms, at least. But T'Pol's emotional equilibrium might have been severely tested when Trip sickened and died (even temporarily).

For me, T'Pol's behavior in Daedalus regarding T'Les's death seemed almost too Vulcan, as if T'Pol was trying too hard to "be Vulcan" and repress her grief, rather than acknowledge it as Vulcans do. And maybe she was simply trying to hurt less from the loss. It's possible she distanced herself even further from Trip after OE in the same way...to be more Vulcan, and perhaps to protect herself emotionally from experiencing such loss again. Subconsciously, she might have been doing what Trip did to her after she married Koss.

So, what have I missed?

I'll call myself a Phloxist too. I definitely believe they end up together in LAC (life after canon). Nothing else makes sense.

I loved the end of S3. So much hope for their future. Guess I know where I'll be next Monday at 8pm.

Regarding the eps that aired this week: one of my fave TnT moments was when T'Pol puts her hand on Trip's shoulder as he starts to cry. Gets me every time *wipes tear from eye*

That scene from "The Forgotten" when Trip breaks down over Lizzie and T'Pol comforts him is my favorite T/T scene of the whole series. There's so much going on in that scene for me...the walls breaking down between them, the trust they show for each other in what they reveal. T'Pol conveys so much compassion with her hand on Trip's shoulder, and the look in her eyes.

I could watch it a million times and never get enough. Hey, I have been watching it a million times (I'm making another music video ).

Anybody have a favorite T/T scene they want to share? Why it grabbed you, why it sticks with you?
