Definitely a pretty clever move. I had to watch it a few times because it looked like the quarterback would have been considered in motion before the snap, but he definitely is stopped before he gets the ball.

Absolutely. I had to watch it a few times, but it's definitely a legal play. The Center handed the ball to the QB, he just did it in an unusual way. That oddness, and the fact that the rest of the offense stayed completely still, simply caught the defense off-guard.

Yeah, while it is pretty clever, I do tend to agree.
As I said above, this'd be illegal and hard to pull off in Canadian football, since the rules state the snap has to travel between the centre's legs. If that rule were adapted at lower levels of American football (high\middle school) that'd certainly stop this kind of thing happening.
