TrekLit in Television/Movies

in 20 years, if you buy a Big Bang Theory Blu-ray or see it in syndication on TV, it will be those production companies who get the money from it, not CBS.

Unless somebody buys out somebody. Star Trek started out with Desilu and aired on NBC and, decades later, ended up being owned by CBS. TAS was made by Filmation and aired by NBC but ended up being owned by CBS. TNG and DS9 were made by Paramount Television, aired in syndication and ended up owned by CBS. And so on.

^Well, TAS was produced by Filmation Associates, but it was a co-production with Paramount Pictures and Roddenberry's company Norway Productions. Making it the only Trek production prior to 2009 that was a co-production with an outside company.
