Trekcore screwing with me

Those basterds.

http://trekcore.com/

Their main page has an item saying "Full Insurrection Soundtrack (July 07, 2011) - The full version of the Star Trek Insurrection soundtrack is now available for you to listen to. It has never been released publicly - enjoy!" and the link leads to a page saying that it has been removed.

Hmm. Oh the whole soundtrack was indeed posted for a time. I enjoyed it.

And now, it is gone. I'm glad I acted quickly when I had the chance.

Does it have the film version of the fight between Picard and Rua'fo aboard the collector (starting with "Mr. Worf, destroy that thing." and ending with the explosion of the Collector), without sounds effects?

Maybe they took it down because LaLa Land or Film Score Monthly or one of those guys is gearing up to release the CD version? If you look at TrekCore's soundtrack page, you'll notice that the ones that are out on CD already have only sample tracks and there is a disclaimer to this effect on the web page. Only the rare, unreleased ones are there in their entirerity, if that.

It always seems rather dubious to me anyway how Trekcore is offering copyrighted music as a free download.

LOL, no one is screwing w/you. ;)

Anything/everything we have/had on the site is only there at the benevolence of TPTB. If they (TPTB) ever want something off the site, such is complied with pronto post haste. Like the Michael Piller making of Insurrection manuscript. In that case it was the family who asked us to remove it; to which we promptly complied.

I have a feeling that FSM will likely be doing the full score at some point in the next few years. I would most expect the full TUC score this year, though, as it's the films 20th anniversary. Perhaps the full for FC as well, since it's their 15th. But they usually only do one a year, so... my money would be on TUC.
