Trekbbs karaoke...

Only if I can wear a white unitard. ;)

My first song would be..."The Boxer" by Simon and Garfunkel. I do like a nice story song.

One of my mates dragged me up to be his backing singer when he was trying to serenade the lasses using "you've lost that loving feeling" in the Canary Isles a few years back. (yes - he had watched a certain film too many times)

I don't believe he realizes how bad we sounded

HAH...i suppose I should just put something in the picture thread and get it over with.

Mine would be "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" by Pat Benetar or "I Love Rock N' Roll" by Joan Jett :techman:

It is! I was in a band in high school named Grover's Den. I played the bass and was the lead singer. The only songs we knew were Joan Jett ones!

^My school band was called Jellystone Park. We had leather jackets with Yogi Bear painted on the back, it was... not very metal

We played a lot of Metallica songs though!

ANyway, when we do Karoake at my friends, i like to sing Wanted Dead or Alive.

I actually remember Joan Jett from back in the 70s when she was with The Runaways; I had the album with the original version of "Cherry Bomb" on it.

^ I remember sitting in my friend's basement and our other friend Dave came over with The Runaways. We listened to it, he thought it was crap, and was embarassed that he bought it just because it had hot chicks on the cover.

You aren't Dave, are you?

Meanwhile, I'd do Jet Boy, Jet Girl

The only one I remember doing in karaoke is Elvis Presley's Hound Dog, and I dare say I rocked the house. Although that also had to do with the girls in bikinis on the TV monitors above my head.
I once pulled off a pretty good Misty with a jazz band.

Today I'd love to do Bjork's Innocence, or Willie Dixon's I Just Want To Make Love To You (known for the versions by Muddy Waters, Etta James, The Rolling Stones...).
I would also do Nina Simone's Be My Husband, except for that all the accompaniment I need is my hands and a table.
