Hi,

Can someone please point me to an avaliable book that covers a general view of the tech used in a ship. General stuff like Computers, Viewscreens and Phaser specs.

Basically a general tech manual rather than the specific ship manual. Thanx

For TOS, try Franz Joseph's Star Fleet Technical Manual.
For TNG era, try TNG Technical Manual.

Both have lots of general non-ship tech.
Both are excellent.

I'd also add the Deep Space Nine Technical Manual to your reading list. It covers some non-Federation tech that you might find useful.
