If some how the universes of Star Trek, TNG time frame, and the Star Wars universe, Return of Jedi time, were to do battle who would win? And I mean an all out battle...meaning Feds+Klingons+Romulans+Borg+Dominion+Q vs the entire Star Wars universe..Jedis..Empire..God knows what else..

Who would win this epic universal war!!!

Do you KNOW how many times this argument has been fought?

Actually, I bet alot. Sorry if it is being asked again. But I am locked in mortal combat with a SW friend of mine..and I can not see how SW can beat STAR TREK...

So..sorry if its like the millionth time this has been asked...

In the end it depends which universe you like better. Otherwise there is no meaningful comparison that can be made.

Star Trek would win as you included the Q on their side. No matter what type of technology or the force on the side of Star Wars you can't beat a species that is basically omnipotent.

I'm ready.

Alright, Star Trek ship uses an isomagentic tetryon deflector pulse, while Star Wars ship unleashes a turbolaser barrage. They both explode at the same time. The end.

I'm not a Star Wars fan, but I found this site incredibly interesting...

And here's an overview of that webmaster's conclusions...

I guess you're more interested in the second of these links.

:)

Interesting site, pretty cool But this person creates and apples and oranges kind of comparison. Since the Empire seems to have take over the entire galaxy, then we have to really compare galaxy strength, because Star Trek has its Alpha/Delta/Gamma/Beta thing going on..star wars just has the empire. The empire could even be an alliance of bad guys all over the galaxy.

So if you team up all of STAR TREK's races, Borg-Feds-Klingons-Romulans-Dominion and put them against STAR WARS then the fight gets more interesting because, according to Voyager, there are thousands and thousands of Borg Cubes out there. Not to mention the Q as well.

^^^Those sites are always amazingly selective in the information they choose to compare and what methodologies they choose to employ for comparison, which allows arguments to be tipped any which way you like.

Pointless. Pointless.

Since this is supposed to be a tech forum, I'll base my answer on the different technologies. The Force and Q don't enter into it.

SW: Death Star (Destroys planets)

ST: Genesis torpedo (reorders planets)

If the Federation ever decided to weaponize and mass produce Genesis torpedoes, it would have the WMD nod sewn up. Of course, the Federation never would mass produce Genesis torpedoes, so the Death Star would end up "the ultimate power" in the combined universe. (Meaning, of course, Star Wars wins.)

Well, since the Rebel Alliance beat the Empire, the final would be Ewoks vs. Tribbles. No one wants to see that.

Aw, dude! Come on! You gotta watch the teddy bears poking the fuzzballs with their little spears! That would be hi-larious! :rommie:

This site ended the debate for me.

^^^But, again selective reading of sources. All the sources have internal contradictions on both sides. It remains a meaningless exercise because neither side can take into account all the contradictory information, and so much is left to our imaginations (I mean, aftermarket books aside, was the power output of any Imperial device ever discussed on screen?).

BIG space station fire big laser. Planet go BOOM.

Is a detailed discussion of the power output involved really necessary? It was obviously enough.
