Trek movie dreams..

Okay...here goes.

STAR TREK THE NEXT GENERATION

"The Future is Reborn"

After the events of the 2009 Star Trek film, the Romulan Star Empire fell out of favor with most of the galaxy. Struggling to make allies, they formed an alliance with the Cardassian Union and an up and rising new race: The Ferengi (I know this will be hard, but try to reimagine the Ferengi as a cunning and deceptively manipulative race akin to the Vorta in like-mindedness). After conquering the Romulans and the Cardassians and forcing them to carry out their will, in the year 2355 of the 24th century, Wesley Crusher, a ten year old boy living on Earth with his parents Jack and Beverly, is out riding horses with his family on their farm when a black cloud appears on the horizon. Mistaking it for a storm, Wesley is separated from his parents, but discover that the black cloud is masking a fleet of Cardassian and Romulan ships under the banner of the Ferengi alliance. The Earth is swiftly conquered, and humanity becomes enslaved. With no idea of how this happened or where Starfleet is during this crisis, Wesley is left in the care of two young female human slaves, who manage to hide themselves and him aboard a Romulan supply ship heading for the Neutral Zone. The ship is attacked however, by a Starfleet ship, none other than the legendary USS Stargazer, under the command of Jean-luc Picard. After rescuing Wesley and returning to the fleet base at Mars, Picard informs Wesley that the fleet was distracted by a carefully calculated diversion by the Ferengi, which led to the conqest of Earth. Now, it is time to unleash Starfleet's redemption, in the form of the cutting edge Galaxy-class starship, a vessel two miles long and over twice the size of the USS Enterprise that Captain Kirk commanded in the first three reboot films. A ship that, while new, bears the same legendary name as her predecessor: ENTERPRISE. As the Enterprise-D, now under the command of Captain Picard, warps into Earth orbit, they realize that they are outmanned, outgunned, and outnumbered, until a message from Jack Crusher on the surface makes it to the Enterprise, revealing that Jack had discovered a weakness in the Ferengi fleet. Although the Ferengi murder Jack for his loyalty to his friends, Beverly manages to escape, and the Enterprise exploits the weakness in the Ferengi conquest, retaking Earth and forcing the Ferengi, Cardassians and Romulans to leave. After a memorial service dedicated to the memory of Jack Crusher and the human lives lost during the battle, Wesley, Picard and the Enterprise Crew decide to begin a new mission to boldly go where no one has gone before...

Earth getting conquered sounds cool. I was kinda hoping for something huge like that to happen in Into Darkness with their "Earth will fall..." tagline and scenes of burning cities on the posters. I also like Picard starting on the Stargazer before migrating to the new Enterprise.:techman:

A couple of afterthoughts:

-One of the young female slaves who takes care of Wesley on the Romulan Supply ship COULD be Tasha Yar undercover, having been possibly stationed on Earth when the attack went down, and going on instinct based on her upbringing on the homeworld she grew up on. Maybe even have her explain that to Wesley at some point, that she knew how to handle the situation because it was so familiar to her.

-In my dream a few TNG characters definitely appear: Worf appears briefly, and is much less grumpy in the Kelvinverse. Mind you, he's still a warrior, but he is a jolly sort of warrior, who laughs often at things that humans might not necessarily find funny. Riker also appears, and he is very mellow, serious even, but kind-hearted (think similar to Aragorn; whereas Aragorn didn't want to be king but was meant to be, you can tell Riker was meant to be a Captain, but doesn't want the glory of such a role).

-In the scene where we meet Riker and Worf, it is a promenade setting aboard the Enterprise-D. Sort of a mall type area, or a recreational area where vendors provide services. Steps are definitely taken to ensure we know how HUGE the Enterprise-D is.
