James Sloyan (Setal/Jarok in the TNG episode 'The Defector') was on an episode of Beverley Hills 90120 (the original) in a small role.
This is thin, but if it'll get the thread back on track...just caught a bit of Jon Lormer (guested in three installments of TOS as different characters) on a episode of The Big Valley yesterday.
Oh, I saw Jon Lormer as the "old man that knows what's going on, but everyone laughs at him" character in a really bad sci-fi-horror film called "The Boogens". Must have been one of his final roles. Pretty thankless.
Its tough to watch any retro TV and NOT see Jon Lormer someplace...him and William Schallert...
Katherine Woodville (Natira in the TOS episode 'For the World Is Hollow And I Have Touched The Sky') appeared as a antagonist spy in an episode of Mission: Impossible, as well as a lot of other shows...
Oh, "The Boogens" isn't retro TV. It's straight to home video/cable from the early '80s. Like I said, it may be one of the last things Jon Lormer did.
May not be TV, but early '80s is definitely retro. Much as we may hate to admit it, the early '80s is a lot closer to TOS than it is to now.
Heck, the whole of the 1980's (and soon the 1990's) is now the distant past (classic rock stations play 1980's music a lot!) There should be diners/restaurants with 1980's themes/decor, stores selling 1980's clothing, toys, stereos, cameras, etc. as antiques (I have a 1980's Minolta Maxxum 5000 AF SLR that I use sometimes which I purchased in 2011) all over the place, kind of like what this movie showed:
There should also be more 80's movies on TCM as well; in fact, most of the programming on the channel should be 1980's movies.

Bite your tongue! TCM is the last bastion for those of us who still want to watch vintage movies from the 30s, 40s, 50s, etc. Let AMC handle all the "modern" stuff so we still have a place to watch Tyrone Power and Carole Lombard and so on . . . .
Seriously, I live in fear of the day that some bean-counter at TCM decides that black-and-white movies are bad for ratings and starts replacing them with reality shows or "Lethal Weapon" marathons.
Speaking of TCM, Ian Wolfe showed up in Irwin Allen's 1960 version of The Lost World, which I recorded off TCM last night and just watched.
Hope I'm not duplicating information here but talk about coincidence. I just watched Dagger of the Mind last night and it kind of hit me that Helen Noel IS Marianna Hill... who I know as the star of a couple of the odder movies you're likely to come across... Messiah of Evil (1973) and The Baby (also 1973)... and was in Medium Cool with Robert Forster in 1969.

They won't be doing that (and I wasn't advocating that)-I was advocating playing more 1980s movies because the 1980s (and 1970s) is now the past. They can play all of the B&W movies that they want to, but they need to add some variety (or they'll go out of business), and the 1980s has that in spades.
Didn't AMC stop playing old movies because TCM was eating into it doing the same thing?
