Trek guest actors in maybe surprising roles

Watched an Outer Limits called "Don't Open Until Doomsday" featuring David Frankham as a bridegroom sucked into a mysterious box with an alien in it (he keeps having trouble with those!) and John Hoyt as the father of a young bride who elopes and gets sucked into the same box 30 years later.
Much more frightening than the alien blob monster was Miriam Hopkins made up in garish 1930s Gloria-Swanson style makeup. They even played it for a shock-scare when she suddenly appeared in a doorway  .

John Hoyt!!!

I always thought that was one of the better episodes.

Paul Carr/"Lieutenant Lee Kelso", not getting strangled once again, back again on Adam-12 as a professor involved in a student's sit-in.

Barbara Baldavin/ "Angela Martine" "Balance OF Terror" seen at the very end of Adam-12 as wife of an overzeolus shot police office. She is still with us at age 84 and was married to Joseph D'Agosta who was casting director on Trek for 64 episodes.

She's still sporting her 1969 "Lt. Lysa", red hair style from Turnabout Intruder. :adore:

Turns out I missed a couple of Have Gun - Will Travel disks! A season 5 episode, "Alice," was another Gene Roddenberry script. It concerns a young lady who hires Paladin to find her long-lost mother, last seen in a former cattle town gone upscale, and the truth about her that the citizens are trying to hide.

Sally Kellerman and John Hoyt (that's what it says!) in the Outer Limits ep "The Bellero Shield." Also notable genre stars include Martin Landau and Neil Hamilton (Commissioner Gordon).

A Quincy duo actor episode with a bonus.
Sharon Acker/"Odona"-"Mark Of Gideon" as Quincy's love interest and Paul Carr once again not being strangled, 9 years after being on Adam-12 as a professor, he's now a doctor at the hospital where Sam has been poisoned (others have died), and the culprit, John Anderson aka "Kevin Uxbridge" a "Douwd" and accidental killer of the entire race of Husnock in a second of rage in Star Trek Next Gen.
My first TOS-TNG mixed cast.

My son and I watched Oedipus Rex (1957) as part of his homework, and in the introduction before they donned masks, we got to see a very young William Shatner.

Aaaand up pops the lovely William Schallert as a crooked cavalry lieutenant in the Rawhide episode, "Incident of the Running Iron."

If I hadn't been paying attention to the closing credits, I wouldn't have known that William Windom has a role as a doctor in the 1971 movie The Mephisto Waltz

Andrea Dromm (WNMHGB), Sheldon Collins (kid in "A Piece of the Action"), and Guy Raymond (Tribbles bartender) in The Russians are Coming, the Russians are Coming.

I also just saw Guy Raymond on The Dick Van Dyke Show ("A Farewell to Writing").

An old 1971 movie of the week I discovered on Amazon, that we haven't seen, probably, since it aired - Coppola's subtle sci fi "The People" with Kim Darby and William Shatner.
