His playing Kirk's incompetent substitute did a lot to damage his reputation.

Well he was going to be a Starbase Commander and probably would never see a Romulan or a Klingon ship in his vicinity anyway and like Kirk said he was a pen pusher! :nyah:

I just discovered that John Hoyt is the uncredited voice of the offscreen doctor that gives Ben Gazerra (sp) the bad news in the intro to the series 'Run For Your Life'.

Yeah, that's the one by the same producer. The character is given only a year or two to live so, as he describes it, ' decides to pack thirty years of living into one or two'; traveling the world.
Of course the series ran for three seasons, so I guess the doctor's were wrong.

    I said out, dammit!
A couple of One Step Beyond episodes -
That popinjay Fox renting out a doomed airplane in "Tonight at 12:17"

Col Green as a small town newsman in "Where Are They?"

In a ridiculous bit of synchronicity, the episode opens with narration placing it on March 17, 1922. We were watching it on March 16, 2019. :O

It was the inelegant way you shoved it into your description. It would be like writing, “it was Uhura, who was black, who repaired the subspace radio.”

I find your insistence obsessive and annoying, which is way beyond inelegance.

Harassing people is no way to live, whatever your personal problems are.

Just for the casual observer: He's referring to something I said six weeks ago!!!

    Here it is:

Seriously, was that worth six weeks of harassment?

The reason I said that is that in the movie with Will Smith, the villain is someone who's missing part of his body ( so much so that it makes you wonder how he can still be alive) but not a short person per se and that that's an odd difference with the series. I didn't tell you that because I didn't like the tone of your attack which is a sad reminder of the inquisition.

Anyway, I consider that I've had just about enough of this and I hope that this matter is now closed.

Please. I called you on it once and I didn't see your attempted rationalization til last night and countered your statement. I submit that two messages a month apart is hardly six weeks of anything, let alone harassment, of all things...

I suggest you sue Walt Disney. How dare he title his cartoon "Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs"? I mean if you're offended to the point of stalking a poster for six weeks for the term "short person" then you should be incensed at the use of the word "dwarf"!! Wait "snow white" was called this way on reference to her skin color! That's racist!

I mean what did they even mention that they were dwarfs and she was white for? I suggest we rechristen the cartoon "Snow of indeterminate Color And The Seven Persons Of Indeterminate Stature". I am sure you got a case there!!! People will love that change! Go ahead and sue the Disney people!!!

    And leave me alone!

Actually harassment is in the eye of the beholder! Or should that be the receiver?

Harry Townes, Paul Carr, and Barbara Luna are all guests on the Buck Rogers that MeTV is airing right now. Apparently Carr was playing a recurring character that season.

If I step over a line the Moderators will surely inform me. I am careful to only argue "post not poster" as the board guidelines require. We don't get to decide who gets to argue the content of our posts or tell them they can't debate us. That's not how it works here. If you have a problem with posts being critiqued there's a handy Ignore feature you are free to utilize.

OK guys. It's late and I'm tired. Don't make me break out the banhammer. If you're getting too personal about Trek, it's time to log off and go walk the dog or something.

Next person that engages in this crap will be warned. If you can't post without being angry, don't post!
