Trek film "will be Abrams' life"

The Trek movie "is going to become Abrams' life" until its release.

So, does this mean that if Trek XI goes down in flames after its release JJ will commit harakiri and I'll never have to be subject to any of his moronic TV series again? that's too much to hope for...

You don't have to be subject (or subjected) to any of them now. Didn't you know?

I keep getting subjected to the internet and it's pissing me off.

You're watching The Trek Network. All Trek... all of the time!

Apart from the odd episode of Cooking with Neelix of course... At least it keeps them off the streets. ;)

How hard can it be? The railing is [color:red]RED[/color]. How many shades of red are there?

Ummmm, you might want to rewatch Cage and WNMHGB...

You kidding?

The closest known match for the red used on TOS is from the old Dunn-Edwards "Galax-Z" paint line.

There were dozens of colors in that line that could be called red.

However, it happens that the color in question was not even one of those, but actually "Macao Orange."

You know, it's been my experience that when a fan says this in one form or another:

If his vision is compatible with the Trekiverse

That is usually Trekian doublespeak for "If his vision is compatibale with my sensibilities,".

It's apparent that with 5 series, 10 movies, hundreds of novels and shitload of fanfic, there is no one "Trekverse" ideology to work from and every fan (myself included) has their idea of what Trek XI should be.

Let Abrams it the way he feels it should be made. If it's it hit both creatively and financially, great. If not, then let Trek quietly slip into pop culture history and and enjoy the memories on all the aformentioned media sources I cited.

Funny because it's true. :guffaw:

Um, if it's a prequel, the railing should be black, right? At least that's what I remember from "The Cage."

(Sad thing is, I'm only half [okay, one-third] joking here. :) )
