Transpoter Pad Display Stand

With Art Asylum having put out the 3 major pieces for a "landing party kit," I had the idea to make a display stand in the guise of a TOS transporter pad.

Here's a quick mockup;




a couple of questions I hope to find some help with;

1. Does anyone have any info on the original floor pads from Star Trek? I know they got used in the ceiling on TNG... and that's about it.
2. Can anyone think of a source for the circularly ribbed glass/plastic?

Round fresnel lens for stage lighting. That's kinda pricey (and small), but I bet you could find something cheaper for a better price if you look for something similar.

I looked around and it does indeed look difficult to come by. I'll probably fake it another way, but it's nice to know what they (most likely) used on the show;
