Transporter Specs...

I been wondering about just how fast, far and large is a standard SF transporter field. Realizing how pattern enhancers can find tune a transport, what can a transporter do without Pattern Enhancer.At what speed does the biodata stream travel, how good are the biofilters at ID Biohazards that there is not database for. What is the maxium range of Transporters, and how large can the Transporter Field be. Finally, are Star Fleet transporters as good or better that Klingons, Romulans, Cardissians, Dominion...ect

I always saw Starfleet transporters as being on par with Klingon and Romulan designs, I believe a Cardassian states in "The Wounded" that Federation transporters were more advanced than Cardassian ones, and I thought the Dominion's were far more advanced, able to transport across several light-years and through shields etc.

As for the other stuff....I really don't have a clue lol
