What did you all think of the Transformers: Age of Extinction spot that played during the Superbowl?

Here it is:

Definitely looks like another Michael Bay summer blockbuster with lots of 'plosions, and over the top and fancy special effects.

Meh. I'm having trouble getting excited about this film. The Transformers formula is getting a little old - at least for me.

Michael Bay gets a lot of criticism around here, but sometimes all I want to do is sit in a theater and watch things blow up with American flags in the background. Michael Bay is awesome for that.

It's shame that Michael Bay is still doing it, but I'm encouraged by the lack of Shia Lebeouf.

Usually the trailers and promos make me go "Man, the last movie was shit, but I'll give this one a chance because the trailer looks decent" and then the movie sucks again. But this promo did absolutely nothing for me, so by the laws of Michael Bay, this movie might be an improvement. Probably not, though.

I wonder if Bay will do something stupid like say the Dinobots have been here for more than 65 million years and were just trying to blend in.

I don't care anymore about these movies. Wish they had replaced Bay and done a clean reboot.

I thought I would be upset or amused by the trailer, but I felt nothing. Sure, it looked like something you'd see from Asylum and I have no freaking clue what people see in these films, but obviously I am not the target demographic for these films. Whatever.

Man, Beast Wars was awesome. This trailer is really making me want to watch Beast Machines.

The first was great.

The second was just confusing.

The third had nothing going for it.

Will wait and see the movie before I comment. Mark Wahlberg is a definite improvement over Shia.

Yes, same here, the Dinobots were always a favourite of mine, and Mark Wahlberg is a welcome addition to any action/comedy movie.

I hope he gets some good one liners.

I think he's shit at it. James Cameron and Neill Blomkamp blow things up real well. Bay's just shitting in his hand and throwing it at a camera. I thought the action in 'Armageddon' and 'The Rock' looked good. But Transformers is all over the place, difficult to see, I don't give a shit who blows up who and i'm not interested in watching slow mow patriotic scenes of men in uniforms running.

As for Transformers 4 trailer. More of the same even though I thought this was supposedly going to "change" things.
Those Dinobots are just Dinobots in name only too.

QFT. If I see this film it definitely won't be at the higher cost of IMAX and in 3D where the gratuitous tit shots in 3-D were aimed at 17 year old boys and overall 3-D added nothing to the film experience IMO.

I have never had any interest in any of the Transformer movies but a Robot riding a giant robot dragon has me sold.

If I've got 10 euros laying around for a movie ticket and I have time to kill, I suppose....

It's just that... I grew up with the toys and the cartoon. I loved it. This is a fun popcornflick, but it doesn't make me feel 8 again.
