Variety reports Megan Fox is out.. so does CNN..

..and now Megan Fox herself confirms it.

What the hell just happened between Megan and Bay/Paramount??

I wish I could say that I was surprised that they got rid of her. I'd kept hearing stories from friends and reading articles on the internet that she complained about Bay left and right.

I just read that also. Megan Fox leaving only means there will be new eye candy.
I'm sure it has plenty to do with her comments and treatment of crew regardless if they never actually say that.

As much as I don't really like Megan Fox's acting, I hate it when characters suddenly vanish or get recast by other actors.

Agreed. I was okay with Megan's acting (but she was fun eye candy). I just find it a bit lame when throw away comments like "Oh, she's in Nevada." or something is used just to dismiss a character's presence. And with Sam portrayed as the "average Joe" kid in the first movie, having him hook up with TWO major hotties in a row just takes away from that a lot. I guess we'll see how it goes but I don't like it.

I seem to recall reading that Megan Fox wasn't looking forward to the excessive tanning she had to go through for TF2, and that she would've liked to do some acting instead of running around in slow motion. Her role in TF1 was okayish, but in TF2 she had really nothing to do but look pretty and suffer leg-humping robots
I can't say I blame her for leaving (forced or not)!

I would like point out that the annoying leg humping robot is Wheelie who I think only exists so people can hate him with the burning fury of a thousand suns. That being said I think Bay has a chance in Transformers 3 to fix a major mistake form the 1986 movie by having Grimlock step on Wheelie and cruch him.
