In "A Night in Sickbay" she mocks Archer's attachment to Porthos the dog by alluding to him as little more than a lesser form of life. Not very enlightened coming from a species who won't eat meat. In my view, the Vulcans can be very, very self-righteous and condescending.

Captain Zog. NOt too different from sects here on Earth.

She is, after all, a Vulcan and grew up in a different society and Culture.

She also looks down here nose at Trip for his liking of Panfried Catfish.

Not really differnt from other species in her biases.

If you have travelled widely you will have run into several differnt cultures that have some weird ideas on things.

She doesn't think highly of dogs. So be it.

T'Pol was just reflecting the attitudes of Vulcans in general. As the Vulcan race was, at the time, equally speciesist (especially against humans), T'Pol naturally reflected this. It wasn't until later - around Season 4 - that they mellowed and really started being friends with us.
