Finally! My Trek drought is ending. I haven't picked up a new Trek novel in over a year. The last ones I read were VOY: Unworthy and TTN: Synthesis. It's nice to have some new Trek to read once again. My local Borders doesn't have it in stock yet, but I'll check back in a few days.

That's the one nice thing about going back and reading some of the old stuff I've never read. Even when there's no new book that month, I still get stories I haven't read yet.

I liked the review threads people used to make that had polls at the top, for people to rate the book. Can we close this one and make one of those, or am I the only person that cares about stuff like that? haha.

I'm with you though; I'm excited. The first 24-th century full in-continuity novel since almost exactly a year ago. And David Mack to boot!

I'm pretty sure JD can add a poll to the thread. At the very bottom of the page, on the left-hand side should be an "add a poll to this thread" button.

nope, not even moderators can add polls to threads in vB, you'll have to have admin access for that.

one option is for someone to start a thread with a poll, and either LS or myself merge the two threads.

It's not that I want to vote, it's that I like to see how everyone else votes. It's interesting to compare to, for instance, amazon.com reviews. I find it neat. Either way not a big deal, but it had an easy fix, so why not?

^ Just throwing this out there for consideration regarding future polls: Jumping from outstanding to above average is too huge a difference in my opinion.

Maybe it's just me but only few novels get the equivalent of outstanding from me, on the other end there are more than enough novels better than above average, but weaker than outstanding. A option like good or something similar between those two would be nice.


On topic: Amazon.de had ZSG listed as in stock the last few days, but despite a pre-order they haven't dispatched one to me, probably because it is in one order with other novels, although that hasn't stopped them from sending books out when they're available in the past. Now it's listed as shipping in 4 -6 weeks.

Indeed it's not a big deal, so why bring it up in the first place again?

Because I thought it'd be cool. If no one else had replied, I would've had no problem leaving it alone. But since a mod, the original thread starter, and three other people have all said that they're fine with/would prefer a poll, and it certainly doesn't cause you any problems to have one, I'm a little confused why you're so hell bent on being mad at me about it. What bug is up your ass today?
