It's available tomorrow. Comments here!

For the only 24th century main-continuity material we're getting for just about a whole year, I'm perhaps unreasonably excited about this...

I read Ex Machina over the weekend, I really enjoyed it. I think I will jump aboard for this one now that I have a nice shiny Ipad 2 to read it on!.

Since it's only 6 bucks I might go ahead and pick it up...uh, download it.

Despite not owning an e-reader, I want to buy this. I know that I can download Nook or Kindle apps for PC that will allow me to read e-books on my computer. Is there any difference in the formatting/layout, or any other reason, to purchase the Nook version over the Kindle (or vice versa)?

I'm on Chapter 3 and Im absolutely loving it! Its like Im watching an episode of Next Generation, hats of Mr. Bennett!

Bought it a couple weeks ago and woke up this morning to find it had downloaded to my kindle. I don't know if this or the Vanguard 4 novella collection is going to be next on my ST reading list, and probably won't get to those until I'm back from vacation in Cabo. I always take a bunch of books I know I don't need to keep and drop them off at the lending library as I read them by the pool, it helps clearing off the book shelves a little. And I keep the ST books so I don't read those down there...

Question: I have a Samsung Galaxy S, which has an e-reader on it. It says something about ePub. Is ths available in ePub, and if so, where?

If I'm not mistaken pretty much every eBook seller except Amazon, which has its own format, is selling epubs, since it its the industry standard.

But I've a Kindle, so no idea which eBook sellers sell Star Trek eBooks to the Netherlands, sorry.

Really? Didn't know that. :D I'll look into it.

If all you care about is the content, both programs will work fine for most novels. (If there's any maps or other images, though, the Nook version will have higher-quality versions.)

But while I don't know if this applies to "The Struggle Within" in particular, the Nook version will allow for prettier formatting, custom fonts*, etc. that the Kindle version can't have.

* I'd bet that it does have custom fonts, simply because that's something S&S has become fond of over the last few months.

Finished it last night, excellent addition to the Typhon Pact story and on its own a very enjoyable read. As I said before it was like I sat down to an episode of the series.
Nice character development on some of the newer characters as well as the original.
If I have one negative thing to say, and its not really a bad thing, I waited for Geordi to show up but no La Forge this time around.
Oh well, I still have to read Indistinguishable From Magic and it looks like he is in that plenty lol
Highly recommend this!!!

I didn't have a role for Geordi in this story. And as you say, he'd just been heavily featured in Indistinguishable from Magic.
