Pixar has a degree of independence, but they have to make Disney happy. As much as people hated Eisner (and don't get me wrong, he was NO sweetheart), the company went to hell after he left. I was a lifetime Disney fan until recent years. I still dig the Pixar wing, but IMHO the rest of the company is a steaming pile of overpriced dung in these hard times.

I'm not a Star Wars fan but if they made the sequels Luke was supposed to go dark side and Han was going to die.
