Let's see, I started typing in high school, and am in my 50's. I've always worked in some form of data entry.
I only think about the letters when I run into a word I don't know how to spell.
Okay...so then do you think it would be fair to say that you don't do 'hunt & peck'...but really more a 'touch typing peck' kind of thing? Because it seem like 'hunting' implies looking for the letters.
... so my fingers go all over the place, but I very rarely need to look at the keyboard. I simply type so often that I've developed my own style of "touch typing." I do occasionally get tripped up, though, and need to look to figure out what I'm doing.
