TOSR: Already in progress...

WSB-Atlanta keeps chopping of the first half of the episode, rather than just starting it late when the schedule runs over. Is anyone else getting this bullshit?

I'm sending an email to bitch about it (talk2us@wsbtv.com)... hopefully, this won't happen to Galileo 7. God, that would be irritating.

They start the episodes at 12:05 AM here in LA, CA
Nothing has been cut out here
Just to let you know TOSR is changing days, times and stations in LA. It's going to be on Saturday at 11 pm on channel 5.

In my area, for the first time, they did that with the replay of "Corbomite Maneuver" a week ago.

I'm hoping they don't do it again with the new season starting this coming weekend.

Is this because of sports?

yeah, it's probably because of sports. I missed the first half of G7 this week. This freakin' sucks. I guess the only thing I can do is send another email.

Anyone else miss it?

Yes WSB did it to galileo 7! WSB sucks! But hey they had to show that piece of shit showtime at the apollo completely! It comes on right be for Trek, and heaven forbid they cut that crappy show!

^ Yeah, no kidding. If I hadn't set my TiVO for an extra half hour, I wouldn't even have seen the half of the show they bothered to broadcast.

I feel your pain. The first 2-1/2 minutes of "The Galileo Seven" were chopped off here in Washington because "professional" wrestling ran over. I really wanted to see that shuttlebay launch sequence. Grr.

TV stations have been doing that shit for years to star trek.

I say cut the damn show off if at can't end on time.

THX. I missed most of "Galileo 7" due to the channel/time change. From what I saw on the startrek.com preview they did a great job.

I missed the last half of Amok Time cause because my local station started it a half hour late and I only set my DVR to record for that specific hour.

In Boston, TOSR bounces back and forth on Saturday between 7pm and midnight (or sometimes 1am Sunday) from week to week. You never know. TG7 was scheduled for midnight, but got pushed up closer to 1am because of sports and then the re-air of the 11pm news  At least they played it in it's entirety.

When the station chops off the show, it is a good idea to call the station. No need to be nasty, but it helps them to know that viewers are disappointed when we miss part of an episode. Ask to speak with the program director. (Even if you don't reach that person, the message will usually get through.)

Very interesting read. Though my brother and father are avid
sports fans, I never really got it. (i enjoy the nba finals and love Formula 1 though)

my biggest dissapoint with the "heidi" phenomenon, was sundays at 4pm on one of my local affiliates. They played star trek in reruns for as long as I can remember. There was always a 7 in 10 chance it would be delayed or completely wiped off the schedule for college sports. I always hated that. My non sports fan thinking was: "Its college sports not the pro's so who gives a flying F$#%!" So I learned to be let down while reminding myself these were repeats of trek. But when your a 9-year old kid and you looks forward to it all week, its a bummer. :(

I always ALWAYS ALWAYS set my DVR to start 20 minutes before airtime and to end 20 minutes after. At the terrible hour these shows are broadcast, the stations just don't pay attention to the schedule...especially if sports were somehow involved.
